The 1.5 hour Computing Orientation scheduled for Tuesday, September 1st, should leave you with a reasonably good understanding of the MIT and School's computing environment. We will explain what these are, how they work and the policies which govern their use. We will also cover email at MIT and a few tips for using your own computers at MIT.
A 'CRON Tour' will follow the presentation. You may choose to begin working on the orientation's skills-building computing exercise at this time (see tab above).
Special Hands-on Laptop Clinics: CRON will host 2 laptop clinics for configuring your personal computers for life at MIT. You need attend only one.

Friday, September 4th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM (approx.)
Saturday, September 5th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM (approx.)
Please apply 'System Maintenance' steps to your laptop before the clinic. (See tab above for 'System Maintenance')
