The MIT ID card collected during Orientation Week is coded to let you into the CRON computing clusters. These are:
- 3-415 (Studio)
- 5-414 (Studio)
- 7-303 (DUSP Student Common Room)
- 7-401 (Studio)
- 7-402 (Studio)
- 7-408 (Dome Cafe I/O)
- 7-432 (Studio)
- 9-251 (SAP Classroom)
- 9-551/555 (Cluster)
- 9-554 (DUSP Classroom)
- 9-556 (DV Cluster)
- 10-485 (CDD)
For your safety and that of the equipment, the card reader system limits access to ARCH/DUSP affiliates. For the reader to do its job, we ask you to observe three rules:
- Don't knock to get in (if your card doesn't work, visit the Coordinator in 9-516).
- NEVER prop the door open after 6 PM weekdays or at any time on weekends/holidays. Close the door, shutoff lights, turn off computers if you're the last to leave the cluster.
- Please report any suspicious activity to campus police at 3-1212
- If your card doesn't work after a few tries, bring your card to the CRON Coordinator (9-516).
- If you get a red light followed by a flashing green, please don't force the door. Your ID is in the system, but there's a problem with the card itself. Bring it to 9-516 for assistance.
